Mondays

6:15pm-7:15pm Monday Yoga Group- St Nicholas Church, Newport, Lincoln LN1. A steady & smooth Level 1 Vinyasa flow (really suitable for new learners and those returning after a break).
We move through a mix of postures, alternatives/modifications are offered, we will progress as we go, as a group. £9 a session. Under 25? I offer 3 spaces at just £2 a session.
As this is a Vinyasa based lesson it is not suitable for bodies that struggle to get up and down from the mat (very stiff joints and/or arthritis, or cardiovascular issues), even though it is for beginners- its not aimed at “all bodies” as Vinyasa truly is a highly athletic and flowing style of yoga, please look at Hatha based classes if this is where your body is right now, then you can learn the poses, and move at a slower pace.

Tuesdays

12:00pm- 1:00pm Women’s Only @ Heighington Village Hall, a gentle (Hatha) yoga class for Level 1 and Beginners. Very much aimed at creating mobility and maintaining a non demanding cardio vascular level so that we can build strength, maintain balance and motor skills via a relaxing yoga class. Mats provided if you don’t have one and new starters are welcome. This class is for women only. £9 a session.

6:00-7:00pm Vinyasa Flow Level 2. Bailgate Methodist Church rooms LN1. This Vinyasa class has been running for nearly 3 years and recently has space for new class attendees; its designed to be a weekly class and so regular attendance is required to get the most out of it; it is not suitable for beginners, nor is it aimed at practitioners who are looking to just unwind for an hour, it can move swiftly in places, and knowing the poses well and pacing yourself is required. In this class I share more interesting areas of philosophy, relative to the yoga practice; everyone in the class is very interested in yoga being a practice they take seriously. If you’re someone who learns or practices best in these environments then this class may work for you, and you’re welcome to come try it out.

7:15pm-8:15pm Bailgate Yoga Tuesdays. Level 1+ Bailgate Methodist Church rooms LN1.
A new yoga class aimed at all levels of practitioners (including beginners).

A hatha informed class featuring mat based muscle conditioning work, standing postures for balance and strength, and some calming seated postures for spinal mobility and breath awareness. Ending with a decent savasana (5 mins) and sometimes pranayama…. This style of yoga helps you develop a deeper awareness of the breath and energy levels, mobility and strength. Limited to 12 spaces you will get assistance and help where needed during the class. Alignment is a key focus and so if that’s an area you wish to improve on please come along and we can address this here.

Saturdays

9:00am-10:00am Morning Vinyasa Levels 1/ 2 @ Bailgate Methodist Church Rooms, Vinyasa Level 1 to 2, this class has been running for nearly 3 years and recently has space for new class attendees; its designed to be a weekly class and so regular attendance is required to get the most out of it; it is not suitable for beginners, nor is it aimed at practitioners who are looking to just unwind, it can move swiftly in places, and knowing the poses well and pacing yourself is required. In this class I share more interesting areas of philosophy, relative to the yoga practice; everyone in the class is very interested in yoga being a practice they take seriously. 10:10-11:05am Smooth Saturdays Beginners/Level 1 @ Bailgate Methodist Church Rooms. This is a gentle way to start your Saturday- for those just starting out and very suitable for those who have reduced mobility; this is a slower paced class to stretch tired achy bodies, bring life in to the joints, and receive guided relaxation towards the end. Aimed at those who feel a bit excluded from my other classes due to pace and strength demands; this one is a Plank free zone! If you are a full time carer or work as a care-worker I offer a few spaces for a reduced fee of £5 per class on this lesson. This lesson is particularly good for those who have back aches and conditions that mean a full flowing vinyasa class would cause more problems than it would help. Price; £9 a session.
