DESCRIPTION:This women’s only Mobility class is ideal for those seeking to get some movement back into joints\, improve coordination and feel more comfortable in the body- which can come from stretching\, movement and breath awareness/focus. This class is based around a hatha practice\, there are no sun salutations and I intentionally exclude poses which bear too much weight on the wrists (so no plank or downward dog here)\, the classes are really grounded in mobility work\, as joint stiffness seems to be the largest contributor to limiting peoples range of movement in their lives after a certain age. As the attendees were all women to this class in its origins\, and all around a certain age range this class became a women’s only class so I can focus on delivering poses and movement instruction specific to bodies in this stage of life. Ending with a decent savasana (5 mins) and sometimes pranayama…. This style of yoga helps you develop a deeper awareness of the breath and energy levels\, mobility and strength. Limited to 12 spaces you will get assistance and help where needed during the class. Alignment is a key focus and so if that’s an area you wish to improve on please come along and we can address this here.

This class is based around a hatha practice\, there are no sun salutations and I intentionally exclude poses which bear too much weight on the wrists (so no plank or downward dog here)\, the classes are really grounded in mobility work\, as joint stiffness seems to be the largest contributor to limiting peoples range of movement in their lives after a certain age. As the attendees were all women to this class in its origins\, and all around a certain age range this class became a women’s only class so I can focus on delivering poses and movement instruction specific to bodies in this stage of life. Limited to 12 spaces you will get assistance and help where needed during the class.
