
Commencing at 12 noon on Saturday 11th October this technique retreat is not for relaxation, its to figure out backbends. I don’t teach to get you deeper into poses, I simply show you what I know, what is written, what others say about these poses, and how this relates to our bodies and our practice. Sure, technique will naturally get the pose to come to life for you, but it wont make you a contortionist, so bear that in mind! Safe practice is what we work with here….
Bring a notepad and let’s review backbends and balances in detail to get them dialed into your body – working with where you are and where you could go…
The session starts with a 1 hour Vinyasa class to get the body awake and settled for more detailed work.
After this complete session we start weaving in some back bends whilst we are warm. Following the practical side of the session we then move into note taking, questions and answers, and troubleshooting the pose’s a little more.
Refreshments are sweet and savoury nibbles and hot and cold drinks.

If you have problems with backbends this technique class will hopefully help shed some light on what’s happening, and can give you insight into the mechanics of the spine.
Session finishes at approximately 3pm- it won’t be less that 3 hours but may drift over 10 minutes or so.
