
Thursday 9th October at 6:30pm this Yin session will show you a deeper level of relaxation.
Utilising props we will access supported poses in passive holds to discover a sense of physical release.
Yin works on the principle of Yin energy- a colder practice as we dont generate heat within the body, -instead we rest in poses for much longer, working on a subtle level with the tissues and breath to release deeply held tension and stress. Rolled up blankets cushions and props can all be used to support the weight of the body to facilitate postures that gradually draw the body into a sense of looseness.
If you have not experienced Yin before, the most similar aspect of my classes to Yin is the cool down section prior to Savasana- but with soft padding and support, in a warm cosy room with tranquil music.
To attend you need to bring a firm blanket (or a large bath towel) and a pillow. You do not need to purchase props.
